These free masterclasses offer young musicians the chance to work “InDepth” on a piece of their choice with one of the Sinfonia’s team of world class musicians. Each masterclass gives students 30 minutes of specialised coaching whilst being accompanied by a professional pianist.
The masterclasses are completely open to the public, giving a fantastic opportunity to practise performing and being coached on how to perform. Observing the coaching is just as valuable as taking part and we would like to encourage all young musicians to come and listen.
If you’re thinking about studying music at university, this is a fantastic opportunity to come and witness the School of Music at the University of Leeds in action. There will be chance to take home a prospectus as well as more information on the music courses that are offered.
Those wishing to participate should be a minimum of grade 6 standard and 14 – 18 years old.
