Tom Hammond

Tom Hammond was the first Sir Charles Mackerras Fellow in Conducting at Trinity Laban conservatoire of Music and Dance (2006-08), made an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2011, and in 2012 was appointed Charter Fellow in Conducting at Keele University (2012-2015).
Tom is Artistic Director of sound collective, the acclaimed professional ensemble and production organisation based in London. He also maintains a busy schedule of rehearsals and concerts as Music Director Sinfonia Tamesa (London), the Essex Symphony Orchestra and Hertford Symphony Orchestra, as well as being a regular Guest with many others ensembles.
A former Principal Conductor at the Junior Royal Academy of Music, Tom is regularly invited to conduct many student orchestras and ensembles including the Palestine Youth Orchestra, with whom he directed acclaimed concerts in Jordan in 2012 and returned to conduct in 2014. He is also a popular leader of the instrumental course at the Ingenium Academy International Summer School, designs and leads education projects, family concerts, talks and musical explorations.
